Description

The Tides RV Resort , a 55+ Luxury RV Resort, located in Palmetto, FL, is looking for a Director of Guest Experience. This position is responsible for the planning, coordinating and executing of daily, weekly and monthly activities, events and excursions at the RV Resort. In addition to overseeing  and handling concierge services for RV guests.

This is a full-time year around position.

Essential Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, attend, and manage all guest activities, events, excursions and concierge services.
  • Prepare provisions for activities and events, including arranging for food and beverages, soliciting and scheduling volunteers, booking entertainers, collecting ticket/sale money, etc.  Set-up and clean-up after events.
  • Create advertising materials for all guest activities, events and offerings, such as flyers, banners, digital reels etc. Create a monthly calendar of guest offerings. Work closely with the General Manager on guest newsletter and distribute to resort guests.
  • Track event attendance, vendor utilization, income, and expenses for each activity.
  • Source vendors, entertainers, third party excursions opportunities, local community business partners, grassroots marketing, etc..
  • Assist in creating and maintaining an annual budget for resort activities.
  • Assist with ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Assist with recruiting, training and managing Guest Experience department team members and volunteers.
  • Maintain proper levels of office, activity and event supply inventories. Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
  • Oversee schedule for clubhouse guest use, music / sound & lighting equipment and sport court play.
  • Support resort guests with concierge services, including answering guest questions, arranging third party services, local community recommendations and more.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in hospitality Lifestyle Director preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Previous budgeting and financial management experience.
  • Professional appearance
  • Computer proficiency, including the internet, Google suite; Publisher and Constant Contact
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Description

The Tides RV Resort, located in Palmetto, FL, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of our luxury RV resort.

This is a full-time year around position.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure resort perimeter and common areas are presentable, clean and inviting at all times.
  • Sweep sites, remove weeds and stray debris to make sure RV sites are ready for immediate occupancy at all times.
  • Power wash buildings, fencing, decking, pier, sidewalks and such to ensure all common areas are sanitized and clean.
  • Drive resort and collect guest trash curbside on a daily basis.
  • Clean and maintain the dumpster area free of debris, wildlife and order.
  • Clean and maintain an organized maintenance shop, equipment and vehicles.
  • Ensure resort vehicles are clean and well maintained for employee use daily. Work with the Maintenance Supervisor on needed repairs and PM maintenance. .
  • Perform weekly light checks to verify that all night lighting is working properly and fix quickly.
  • Perform minor repairs throughout the resort as directed.
  • Work with third party vendors as directed and cover in between services to ensure all amenities, common areas and buildings are ready for guest use.
  • Apply weed and pest applications as needed throughout the resort to control growth and infestations in guest areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous maintenance experience at a multi-family property, preferred.
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • General knowledge of janitorial work, landscape, plumbing, electrical maintenance.
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
  • Good communication verbal and written, ability to provide legible written reports.
  • Ability  to communicate well with employees, vendors and contractors
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
